What this site is

TrueAfford is a free, informational calculator suite for home, mortgage, rent, and car affordability. Every result is produced by applying published formulas and publicly sourced data (documented in full on themethodology page) to the numbers you enter. It is a starting point for your own thinking, not a quote, an approval, or a substitute for advice from a mortgage lender, financial advisor, accountant, or attorney.

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, legal, tax, or lending advice, and no calculator result is an offer or guarantee of credit or approval from any lender. We aim for every formula and data source to be accurate and current, and the methodology page states when each data source was last reviewed. Even so, calculations depend on defaults and published averages (state-level property tax and insurance rates, standard interest-rate baselines, and similar) that may not reflect your specific situation.
